My Life As I Know It

Well, hello there. Let me begin by saying that I grew up in a very mountainous region of Colorado where I delighted myself in doing all things tomboy: soccer, basketball, snowboarding, etc. My wardrobe consisted of Jordans and And One shorts {the extremely baggy kind}. I have moved around {a lot}, and I am now proud to call myself a Louisvillian {pronounced Lool-villian} - Go Cards! In the last few years, I have developed an ever-growing fascination with all things fashion {<3 J. Crew}, which brings me to, well, here.

Every girl loves herself a cute puppy and a great-lookin' pair of pumps, so I'm here to not only expound on these two wonderful things, but to also examine some of life's other small pleasures {and maybe those that aren't always so pleasureful}. Disclaimer: I like to make up words. I'm a high school English teacher, and this fact has somehow bred in me a liberty to organize the English language into whatever way I see fit {even when the Modern Language Association does not agree}. Before I go on, I must discuss my two favorite things {surprisingly, they are not pups and pumps}:

1. Jesus is my Homeboy. I have had a rather cathartic religious experience over the last few years, attempting to define my Christianity on sound doctrine and theology. I'm still searching. Everyday. But, one thing is for certain: God is good.

2. My husband is good, too. We just got married in October of 2012, and I have learned more in the last year about my own strengths and weaknesses than I ever could have learned on my own. He supports me in all of my crazy antics as a teacher and basketball coach, and I am forever grateful for that support.

Okay, okay, I move on. I thought I would give you a little bit of insight into me by relaying a short list of my "small" pleasures:

1. Pups {here}
2. Pumps {here}
3. Running {I am heading to Boston in 2014!}
4. Writing {hence the English degree}
5. College Basketball {March = <3}
6. Anything starring {or simply glimpsing} Paul Rudd = hilarious
